I've been trying to craft a post in my head the past week knowing that International Women's Day was upon us, but it never got from my head to the blog. When I saw the following video, I knew I had to share it. I am neither an avowed Republican or Democrat. I'm new to voting in the USA and certain policies on both sides of the political divide disgust me, but I have a particular distaste for the journalists who push their own agendas. Women’s Right to Vote

Today was my first time voting as a US citizen. I left Canada in 1999 and haven't voted since, which started me thinking about the women who worked hard to give me that right in the first place. I found the following video on the history of women's right to vote in the U.S.A. I always assumed suffrage happened nationally, I hadn't realized that certain states had accepted the rights of women to vote, before the entire country adopted full suffrage in 1920.
